The government has just suspended refugee family reunion – the main safe route for children to join their refugee parents in the UK. We can’t let them tear families apart in our name.
This cruel decision will leave children stranded in war zones or unsafe camps for months, away from their mums or dads. 92% of refugee family reunion cases are women and children. Many will feel they have no choice but to risk their lives in flimsy boats to reach their loved ones.
